Nikki Meets Shaq
|
|
On December 2, Nikki Y., an 11th grade basketball player at Belaire High School, hurried to the Barnes & Noble store at Perkins Rowe for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity – to meet her idol, National Basketball Association great Shaquille O’Neal. Nikki won a local high school student essay contest for the privilege of meeting her hero.

PBS Mission:
Belaire High School’s PBS team hopes to assist in the overall schools’ mission of fostering a nurturing and challenging environment for the development of intellectual, social, spiritual, ethical, and physical being. PBIS is based on understanding why problem behaviors occur. It is the application of evidence-based strategies and systems to assist schools to increase academic performance, increase safety, decrease problematic behavior and establish positive school cultures.
