EBRPSS Adolescent Literacy Plan
East Baton Rouge Parish School System has implemented research-based strategies to improve the literacy skills of middle and high school students. These strategies focus on standards-based, core instruction designed to improve students' vocabulary and higher order thinking/
comprehension skills in English, math, science, and social studies. The following literacy strategies have been implemented at Belaire High School:

School-wide Daily Reading Program
The administration and faculty at Belaire High School challenge students to begin and end the day reading. Students are expected to bring their Accelerated Reader books to first and seventh period classes each day.
